Katelyn values being able to provide meaningful guidance and diligent legal support to clients at times of family separation, so that they are better able to move forward confidently, with a firm understanding of their legal rights and with the ability to focus on their personal wellness and that of their children.


Katelyn is a strong advocate for her clients and maintains a significant litigation practice. She has experience working with families in the following areas: child custody, parenting, and access issues, inclusive of high-conflict parenting litigation, parental alienation and abduction cases; spousal/common law partner support and child support, including support for adult children and complex income determination; property division; and, separation agreements.


She has appeared at all levels of court, including case management conferences, judicially assisted dispute resolution processes, and contested proceedings before the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Court of Appeal. She also has experience in contested arbitration matters.


Katelyn obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and Political Science from McMaster University in 2008, and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Manitoba in 2011. She was selected for a student placement at the Provincial Court of Manitoba, and was Called to the Bar in 2012. She moved to Calgary in 2016 to continue her legal career.


Outside of the office, Katelyn enjoys spending time with her dog, watching documentaries, and travel.
